Lip Service

If there is any beauty ritual I follow it is this: to regularly exfoliate my lips. Come autumn and this becomes an imperative practice. I’ve tried everything from old toothbrushes to expensive lip scrubs but nothing has worked for me like the lip scrub I made from ingredients easily available in the kitchen. Here’s how you can get started:

You will need an empty container, a teaspoon of coarse sugar and coconut oil as well as vanilla extract for flavouring.

Combine the coconut oil and sugar in the container. Add few drops of Vanilla extract.

Mix everything thoroughly. You can store this DIY lip scrub in the fridge and use it as long as you want.

Use a pea-sized amount to exfoliate your lips. Simply dab some scrub on your lips and rub gently 3-4 times. Wash it off with a damp cloth or tissue. Dab some Vaseline, lip balm or coconut oil to seal in the moisture. Your pout is now perfect.
