If there is one item that overflows in my beauty cupboard–it has to be a lip balm and it is also one thing that I can never leave home without. Given UK’s crisp, grey weather it is definitely a necessity. It seems no what the season is I am always suffering from dry, chapped lips. No wonder I have an array of lip balms that helps me to keep chapped lips at bay. Let’s face it, there is nothing beautiful or healthy about white dried skin playing the devil on your lips.
This week I stumbled upon Grace Cole’s Fruit Work Lip balms. They have a lovely range of balms in a plethora of flavours–Passion fruit & Guava, Coconut & Lime, Watermelon & Pink grapefruit so on and so forth. The Grace Cole Fruit Works lip balm is described as a “refreshing and deliciously scented lip balm heals dry and sore lips, leaving them feeling smooth and supple.”
I have been using the Passion fruit & Guava lip balm for some days now and I must say I am totally hooked. My body at the moment is a cocktail of hormones and one of the pitfalls I am facing is perpetual dried and chapped lips, that refuses to get better. This lip balm has been quite a saviour.
The passion fruit & guava one comes with a delicious smell reminding me of summer holidays in a tropical island. The tin comes in a lovely shade of lilac which is one of my favourite colours.
The lip balm gently mosturises your lips without completely weighing it down unlike some others with a heavy dose of formula. It also has a nice sheen and tint to it which gives a dewy appearance to your lips. The fruit works lip balm, hence, is great for day or night and can be worn on its own or with a nude/pink lipstick. I love a versatile product and this nifty little product is definitely my new lip hero.
My final verdict: For only £2 per 12g tin, this is awesome value for your money, that will get a permanent place in your cupboard/ bag.
