One of the trends that I wish would come back is the coloured jeans one. They are perfect for summer when you do not feel like showing your legs and want to inject some colour. During my sunny break in Mumbai, I used (and abused) my coloured jeans to the maximum. Here, I have used to meet my crazy BFF. In all honesty, we were not intending to do a fashion post but as we turned up looking and feeling fabulous, I could not resist.
Coloured jeans have been doing the fashion rounds ever since 2010. Many consider it to be a staple of teenagers however I disagree. Coloured jeans can flatter any shape, size or age. My top ways to style coloured jeans? Pair it with a blouse in shades like ivory or white for work, for after-work drinks, engage in some colour blocking and pair it with shades that compliment your jeans (for instance, red with minty pink can look great) or top it with graphic tee-shirt (like I have done here) for an effortless yet chic look. I always go easy on accessories while wearing coloured jeans because there is indeed one such thing called too much styling.
To keep her cool in sunny and humid Mumbai, Neha (my partner in crime) is wearing a green lightly knitted top with indigo jeans. Like me, she also has opted for minimal accessories like a long chain and sandals. I also love her hair style–a version of faux one side shave. So easy and chic with a hint of edginess.
The above two images shows my outfit in detail. As you can see, I have kept it minimal which is exactly how I like to style my coloured jeans. And what do you think of my new wavy LOB (long bob)? After ages I have experimented with my hair, this length is way out of my comfort zone and I have also coloured my hair in honey brown shade with mahogany red ombre tints. Isn’t it perfect for summer? I definitely think so. (stay tuned for my post summer hairstyles and care for short coloured hair)
