There is no colour as happy as the colour pink. Like Audrey Hepburn I definitely believe in Pink.

The midi skirt is my favourite skirt at the moment. My love for versatile clothing is well-known and the midi skirt is another great versatile piece which you should add to your wardrobe. Here, I’ve styled a linen Pink midi with a simple t-shirt for a casual vibe. I have added my favourite rose gold sandals for some oomph and simple accessories to seal the look.

Pink for me is happiness and happy girls are prettiest girls 🙂

When I was a kid, one of my favourite hobbies was to rummage through my mum’s bag as soon as she got home from work. For me, her bag was like treasure box, I would be delighted to find office notes, pen, her kohl, a lipstick etc. I would then take her bag and try to walk around our home in her little-too-big heels.  I think my love for bags, kohl  and other beautiful things started because of her. Today, as an adult there are certain things that you would always find in my bag.

Hand Bag essentials

In my bag, you will always find: a hand cream, compact a lip gloss or lipstick, a lip balm, tissues, hand sanitizer, kohl and a comb. As a book worm, I also almost always carry a book because you know commuting can be a tedious task.

What are your hand bag essentials? Would love to know.

Bag: Satchel Company, Compact: Body Shop, Lip balm: Body Shop, Hand cream: Body Shop, Kohl: Maybelline Smoky, Lip gloss: Revlon, Tissues: Kleenex, Hand Sanitizer: Mum and Me.

She was living a dream

Captain of her Ship,

Master of her life.

Danced her own dance

To music only she could hear.

Engrossed in her solitude

Life passed her like a gradual wave.

She walked alone

Along the pathless woods,

She slept alone

Under the starry skies.

Never wavering.

Never floundering.

Then came a traveler

Stumbled on her path.

A dreamer that

became a song her head.

Playing like a stuck record.

The tune increasing the

Crescendo with every step.

His tune no different from hers,

Yet so unlike.

Like a giant ocean

The traveler kissed her away

To a dreamland

Beyond her little world

Beyond her solitude.

Beyond her dream.

I do consider myself a truly Global person. But once in a while, I don’t mind going back to my Indian roots.

Indian summer: how to dress anarkali

The Anarkali is a long, full-skirted dress that you wear over Churidar i.e. legging like trousers. A matching long scarf is added to most ensembles.

I’ve accessorized it with simple jewelry like statment earrings, bangles and a cocktail ring because sometimes you should let the outfit speak for itself.

Indian fashion

The beauty of this outfit is that it has a touch of an ethnic appeal yet looks quite modern. A win-win situation at least for me.

Dress: Mum’s gift, Pouch bag: MIL’s gift, Shoes: Marks and Spence (old, flat option here), Statement earrings: Debenhams, Bangles: H&M.

Happy Wednesday. Hope you enjoyed this post on Indian fashion. Thanks for reading and do show me your love with your likes and comments or better still go ahead and make my day by following me. I follow back 🙂

I love the charm of braids and although not good at creating different styles, I still try my hand at easy ones.

Giles’ SS14 teased side braids stunned the Front Row at the LFW. Here, I try it with minimal products and minimal time 😉

Curly hair care

After Washing and conditioning my dry hair, I slightly twisted my damp hair with my fingers.

I then spritzed on some Sea Spray Hair Mist by Lush.

Then I took my hair to one side and (opposite my hair parting) teased it with a teasing comb.

After dividing my hair in two parts, I twisted it slightly and put it one on top of the other like a rope. Ta da, it was done.

Final step was taking all the loose ends on the nape of neck and securing it with a pin.

My Verdict: It is an easy-peasy hairstyle that can be done in minutes with minimum products yet looks chic always. So thumbs up to this trend 🙂
