Sometimes, deviating from basic black and donning a bold colour is an absolute necessity.

I chose this lovely green number for London Fashion Week but pregnancy tiredness and work kept me away this time. So, instead I wore this to celebrate an impromptu date night with the hubby.

Dress: Asos, Heels: Clarks (old), Bag: Zara, Statement necklace and earrings: Portobello Market

Sometimes, playing dress up in a bold colour is the only pick-me-up you need even when you are on your 26th week 🙂

PS: People keep asking me why I am doing maternity style posts and what I will gain by putting myself like that online? Well, the reason why I am doing this is because women do tend to lose their style and confidence in pregnancy thanks to their changing bodies. I want them, yes every women who embark on this wonderful journey to remember that without them life probably would not perpetuate and to take pride and joy in themselves 🙂

Never underestimate the power of colour. This summer I am definitely embracing colours like never before; a bright coloured dress–like the coral one here–can add a punch and a lot of character to your wardrobe. So ditch the black and give a little coloured dress a chance.
