Elegance as they say is an attitude. So, for my maiden venture covering the London Fashion Week (LFW), I decided to take the elegant route with this simple yet sophisticated dress in wine red.

Sure, being eccentric would’ve earned me some brownie points but it would have seemed all too deliberate and in any case I don’t let fashion own me it is the other way round.

What to wear to Fashion Weeks

Dress: Debenhams, Necklace: H&M, Earrings and Bangles: Claire’s Watch: Hubby’s, Bag: Next, Lips: Mac (Up the Amp), Umbrella: Zara, Heels: Clarks

I’ve used a statement necklace and dull gold bangles and earrings to accessorize the look. Whilst I really wanted to carry a statement bag, I chose the roomiest tote I had to carry my camera, tablet, notebook, phone and a pair of flats.

“Elegance is Refusal,” Coco Chanel said and I am definitely good at refusing fashion rules made by others.

(P.S: A special thanks to A Cup Of Style for liking my style and capturing me for Fashiolista :D)

Yves Saint Laurent very wisely stated that the most important part in a dress is the woman who is wearing it.  This is exactly why I never let a brand/label define me.  Fashion and styling is a language and it should be strictly yours. So, as I say always make your own rules. You owe it to yourself!
